UPDATE: NYU/ITS System Restoration Underway

ITS is pleased to announce that we are now beginning to restore the key University systems that were brought down Saturday to protect against potential data loss.

We expect to publish the schedule of availability of those systems on the ITS System Status page at approximately 9:00pm EDT. We aim to have key applications available for use during at least part of the business day Monday in NYU Abu Dhabi, at the NYU global sites in Europe, and in NYC. Successful completion of this process will depend on the continued stability of electrical power in downtown Manhattan.

Thank you for your flexibility and support as we worked to keep NYU's systems safe, and as we restore them to normal.

ALERT: Unscheduled System Outages this Weekend

In anticipation of power outages at several of NYU's data centers due to Hurricane Irene, ITS will be preemptively shutting down some systems in order to ensure no loss of data or system damage. Some systems at NYU will be unaffected, as they receive alternate power from the NYU cogeneration plant. For full details, please see the ITS System Status page.
