Exploits Released for New MS Vulnerabilities

Code was recently released that exploits two of the vulnerabilities patched in last week's Microsoft "patch Tuesday." The first exploit attacks a vulnerability in DHCP, the software used by a computer to obtain its IP address on a network. The other, which is currently a "proof of concept," attacks a Windows component called "mailslot." These exploits reinforce the necessity of applying MS patches as soon as they become available.
