  • In 1998, NYU formed ITS by bringing together three existing organizations (the Academic Computing Facility, the University Computer Center, and Telecommunications) under the leadership of the University's first Chief Information Technology Officer, Marilyn McMillan.

The Office of the Vice President for Information Technology & Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) for NYU New York provides leadership and coordination of University IT strategy, policies, and services; IT-related planning, compliance, and continuity services. The departments within the Office of the Vice President for Information Technology & CITO for NYU New York are Finance and Facilities, Policy and Planning, and Human Resources for ITS.

ITS is led by Vice President for Information Technology & CITO for NYU New York Marilyn McMillan.

Within the Office of the Vice President for Information Technology & CITO for NYU New York, Strategic Communication and Partnerships is led by Executive Director Kitty Bridges and Resource Planning and Management Services is led by Executive Director Laura Tretner.
