Faisal Devji is interested in new traditions of political thought in Asia, as well as in the coming to being of Hindu and Muslim forms of modernity there. His broader concerns are with ethics and violence in the global arena. Devji has held faculty positions at The New School, Yale University and the University of Chicago, from where he also received his PhD in Intellectual History. He sits on the editorial board of Public Culture.
