Monika Krause just completed her PhD in Sociology at New York University. She is a member of the Humanitarian Action Working group at the Institute for Public Knowledge. Her research interests include humanitarian NGOs, political sociology, critical theory, and the sociology of culture. She studied sociology at the Universities of Munich and Cambridge and holds an M.Sc. in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics.
