InterCEP Releases the 2008 Florence Forum Proceedings

September 2008 - InterCEP released the 2008 Florence Forum Proceedings. This document provides an inside look into the May 29-30, 2008 International Public-Private Preparedness Summit. For this third annual event, InterCEP again convened senior private sector executives and public sector officials to address public and private issues in resilience including threats, concerns and strategies in international security and emergency management.

More than 40 participants from 11 different countries, and four continents, came together for these two days. Recommendations include forwarding consensus- based standards in organizational preparedness and resilience, identifying the true economic impacts of preparedness and preparing for ramifications of climate change on security and resiliency, and advancing of regional and international public-private partnerships within the supply chain.
