Initial Working Group Proceedings on New Private Sector Preparedness Certification Program Presented to Accrediting Body & Homeland Security:

August 4, 2008 3:01 PM

Both the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the accrediting body for the new Voluntary Private Sector Preparedness Certification Program, ANAB, requested the proceedings of the InterCEP Working Groups to inform its initial planning activity for the program. The proceedings were provided by InterCEP directly to ANAB and DHS. These proceeding reflect issues and recommendations identified in earlier forums held on the new program by the various Working Groups. These proceedings were vetted with each Working Group for comment. InterCEP’s director Raisch noted that “the proceedings reflect the interest of the private sector in having real say in how this program will be developed. The program must reflect the real needs and concerns of business and ultimately have business value.” The Working Groups are being hosted by InterCEP to facilitate input on the design and implementation of the new certification program.
