July 1, 2007 2:53 PM
July 2007 - Continuing InterCEP's efforts to forward the business case for preparedness and the wider practice of enterprise resilience, InterCEP is expanding its efforts with the Council on Competitiveness.
Chaired by Chuck Holliday, CEO of DuPont, the Council consists of leaders of business, labor, academia, and government. The Council recently reported that "the ability to manage emerging risks anticipate the interaction between different types of risk, and bounce back from disruption, will be a competitive differentiation for companies and countries alike in the 21st century."
According to Director, Bill Raisch, "InterCEP and the Council share a pro-active approach to resilience and, going forward, we intend to work closely with this most important institution on several initiatives including wider acknowledgement of corporate preparedness, market-based incentives, the development of curricula for university- based resilience education, metrics, and ongoing targeted research."
On June 25, 2007, Bill Raisch participated in the Council on Competitiveness Resilience Day 2007 at the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
