April 2007 -- Bill Raisch (Director of InterCEP) presented at the Fifth Annual Continuity Insights Management Conference held in New Orleans, Louisiana April 23-April 25, 2007. His presentation was underscored the bottom-line impacts of preparedness and the corporate & personal accountability that follows crisis.
Mr. Raisch noted that recent research of the Global 1000 corporations shows an 80% probability that most major firms will encounter a significant crisis during the next five years, resulting in the loss of a minimum of 20-30 percent of stock value. The capability clearly exists to prepare our organization, minimize the impact of crisis and promote recovery. Investors, employees, regulators and often the general public are increasingly holding the corporation and its management accountable. Furthermore, preparedness efforts have been shown to have significant bottom-line impacts in leading firms.
