HRIS, PASS and eReportsHuman Resources Information System (HRIS), Personnel Action Submission System (PASS) and eReports are the three major administrative systems/tools available to Human Resources Representatives, Finance Officers, Managers and Supervisors for accessing employee information. HRISNYU's Human Resources Information System is a fully-integrated, comprehensive Payroll, Personnel, and Benefits system, supporting the management of employee information and payroll processing from initial hire through retirement. HRIS provides essential support to an extensive number of University-wide business functions, including strategic planning, compliance reporting and monitoring, faculty and staff recruitment and retention, eligibility determination for programs and services, and communication to the University community. PASSPersonnel Action Submission System is an NYU Workflow application that automates the submission, routing, tracking, and approving/denying of personnel action requests. Approvals for personnel action requests are automatic whenever possible. Otherwise, the requests go through a review process, with input from the HR Reps, Finance Officers, Deans of the school associated with the transaction and central administrative offices, as appropriate.
