ARTICLE 32 - HEALTH AND SAFETY MEETINGS AND REPORTS
A. Two University representatives and two Union representatives, at the request
of either party, will meet at a mutually agreeable time and place, twice during
each contract year, to discuss matters relating to health and safety. The meetings
will be scheduled for two hours and any Union representative who is a member
of the bargaining unit will be released from work to attend the meeting and
will be paid for the time spent at the meeting.
B. Whenever a health or safety situation affecting bargaining unit employees
arises that would reasonably require the measuring of levels of potentially
harmful substances or comparable evaluations, either by University personnel
or an outside consultant, the University will obtain reports with reasonable
expedition, giving consideration to the gravity of the risk in all the circumstances.
A copy of any such report or a written summary of any oral report will be faxed
or hand delivered to the Union within 24 hours of receipt by the University.
C. All employees exposed to biohazard areas will be issued radiation tags.
D. Safety medical kits shall be supplied by the University and placed in the
locker rooms.
