ARTICLE 19 - JURY DUTY
A. Employees called for jury duty shall receive, for each day of the work week
that they are required to qualify, report or serve on a jury, the difference
between eight (8) hours of straight-time pay and their per diem compensation
for jury service, up to a maximum of four (4) weeks in each calendar year. The
receipt of a subpoena or the notice to report for jury duty must be reported
immediately to the Human Resources Office of the Employer and the Employer may
request that the Employee be excused or exempted from such jury duty, if, in
the opinion of the Employer, the Employee's services are essential at the time
of proposed jury service.
B. Employees who serve on a jury shall not be required to work any shift during
such day.
C. Employees who perform jury duty on their days off are not entitled to benefits
under this provision for such days, or to have their schedules changed.
