COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT Between NEW YORK UNIVERSITY And LOCAL 810 I.B.T
July 1, 2002-June 30, 2007

ARTICLE 5 - WAGES

A. Effective July 1, 2002, each full-time employee (40-hour week) covered by this Agreement shall receive an increase in his/her base rate of pay of three and one-half (3.5%) percent of his/her June 30, 2002 base rate. Residence Hall Refrigeration Engineers shall receive an additional twenty-five ($25.00) dollars per week increase. All forepersons shall be paid a rate not less than $67.86 more than those employees whom they supervise. The adjusted base rates effective July 1, 2002 are as follows:

B. Effective July 1, 2003, each full-time employee (40-hour week) covered by this Agreement shall receive an increase in his/her base rate of pay of three and one-quarter (3.25%) percent of his/her June 30, 2003 base rate. All forepersons shall be paid a rate not less than $70.07 more than those employees whom they supervise. The adjusted base rates effective July 1, 2003 are as follows:

C. Effective July 1, 2004, each full-time employee (40-hour week) covered by this Agreement shall receive an increase in his/her base rate of pay of three and one-quarter (3.25%) percent of his/her June 30, 2004 base rate. All forepersons shall be paid a rate not less than $72.35 more than those employees whom they supervise. The adjusted base rates effective July 1, 2004 are as follows:

D. Effective July 1, 2005 each full-time employee (40-hour week) covered by this Agreement shall receive an increase in his/her base rate of pay of three and one-half (3.5%) percent of his/her June 30, 2005 base rate. All forepersons shall be paid a rate not less than $74.88 more than those employees whom they supervise. The adjusted base rates effective July 1, 2005 are as follows:

E. Effective July 1, 2006 each full-time employee (40-hour week) covered by this Agreement shall receive an increase in his/her base rate of pay of three and three-quarters (3.75%) percent of his/her June 30, 2006 base rate. All forepersons shall be paid a rate not less than $77.69 more than those employees whom they supervise. The adjusted base rates effective July 1, 2006 are as follows:

F. Employees will be paid a premium wage of eighty-five cents (854) per hour when working on major construction work. Major construction work includes work involving the handling of asbestos which occurs on an occasional basis in connection with the employee's regular duties.

G. A premium of thirty-five cents (354) per hour will be added to the base rate of employees who are required to perform the duties of Fire Safety Director or Deputy Fire Safety Director, retroactive to the date they became certified in a building. The duties of Fire Safety Director or Deputy Fire Safety Director may be assigned to either bargaining unit or nonbargaining unit employees in accordance with the operational needs of the Employer.

H. No provision of this agreement shall be construed as to lower the weekly, daily or hourly rate of any employee. Employees receiving wages and conditions of employment higher or better than specifically provided for herein shall continue to receive same throughout the period of this Agreement.
