The Recruitment Process
The Talent Management Office actively seeks qualified applicants for open positions
in Codes 100, 104, 106, and 107 through a wide range of sources including: the
MATCH system applicant database, the University job list, print and electronic
advertising, employee referrals, search firms, varied non-fee sources, and community
agencies.
Once a job is approved for recruitment, the Talent Management Office contacts the
HR Officer to discuss the recruitment strategy.
Job Vacancies
It is a policy of the University that all vacancies in applicable codes (100/110,
104/114, 106/116, 107/117) be posted on the Human Resources Web site. Code 100/110
and 107/117 jobs are posted daily. Code 104/114 and 106/116 jobs are posted
on Mondays. The job requisition must be approved in MATCH and be accompanied
by an approved job description in order to post the job.
The job list serves as a key source to attract both internal and external applicants
to jobs throughout the University.
To access the day's new listings, HR Officers, employees, or external
applicants can go to the job search screen, type in the day's date in both date
fields and run the search.
For units where there are employees who do not have computer access, HR Officers must
print out the new jobs. This is to ensure that employees under the collective
bargaining agreements have adequate access to all open jobs.
As HR Officers post new jobs, they can discard any printed job postings that
are over five working days old.
