NYU Family Care

NYU is committed to supporting its faculty and staff with their dependent care needs. NYU Family Care provides information and resources to assist families with children from newborn through college and all employees with elder care needs. Among the services available are:

  • Information and referral services for parents provide assistance on choosing quality child care, enrichment, and summer camp options for children newborn through school-age, accessing educational options pre-k through college, becoming a parent, adopting a child, step-parenting, and child development
  • Information and referral services for individuals with adult / elder care responsibilities including understanding the aging process, long-distance caregiving, housing options, home care options and community services, legal and financial planning
  • Educational programming and resource materials on child and elder care topics
  • Financial assistance for adoption and child care expenses
  • Subsidized back-up child and adult care
  • Consultation on time and leave policies, including maternity, and child care and bonding leaves, etc.
  • Nursing mother rooms

The establishment of a Child Care Fund in 2007 provides NYU Family Care with the opportunity to increase the supply of child care through the recruitment and support of a family child care network, pilot a campus-based summer camp program, and more.
