What is NYUiLearn?

NYUiLearn is an employee portal that provides you with 24/7 access to:

  • training registration for classroom-based courses
  • online courses and resources
  • your current training records

What are the benefits of the new NYUiLearn portal?

  • NYUiLearn will allow you to address many of your professional development needs on one online site. Initially you will only see programs offered by the Office of Talent, Learning and Organizational Development on NYUiLearn; however, later in fall 2009 additional departments will begin to place their courses in the same portal. Soon, you will see courses from the Controller’s Division, Environmental Health and Safety, the Office of Sponsored Programs and ITS Security all on NYUiLearn
  • NYUiLearn provides quick and easy access to a catalog of online and classroom training courses. The catalog includes a detailed description about the courses and information on the date, time and location.
  • NYUiLearn allows you simple access to an individualized learning plan that includes job-specific courses that you have been assigned to and courses from the catalog that you have registered for.
  • NYUiLearn will provide you with access to your training records and certificates. With just a click of a button, you will be able to review and print your transcript for all courses you participate in beginning in the fall 2009.

Can anyone access NYUiLearn?

NYUiLearn is available for all full and part time employees at NYU. Consultants, employees from NYU affiliates (i.e., NYU Poly), and employees from NYU Medical Center will not have access.

Does my computer need anything special to access NYUiLearn?

NYUiLearn was successfully tested on both PCs and Macs. The minimal system requirements for optimal use are:

  • Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher for a Windows PC or
  • Safari 2.0 for Macintosh or
  • Firefox 2.0 for all PC and Macintosh
  • Flash 8.0 (strongly recommended)

Unpredictable results could occur with other configurations. For best results taking online courses through NYUiLearn, your PC or Mac should also be equipped with speakers or an audio headset.

How can I get started with NYUiLearn?

You can access NYUiLearn by following these simple steps:

  • Go to NYUHome at home.nyu.edu
  • Login with your NYU Net ID and password
  • Click the Work tab
  • Scroll down and click on "NYUiLearn Login" to launch the Welcome page

How can I get help?

There are several ways that you can get the help you need to successfully use NYUiLearn.
