Leadership Certificate Program

The Leadership Certificate Program: Critical Skills for Emerging Leaders

Critical Skills for Emerging Leaders is a certificate program designed to help administrators develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their roles at NYU.

Who should enroll in the certificate program?

This program is recommended for all new supervisors / managers with less than 18 months of leadership experience. Any supervisor / manager interested in improving their leadership skills should also consider participating in this program.

Curriculum Details

Critical Skills for Emerging Leaders offers five core modules and several electives that provide the new leader with the tools they need. To receive the certificate, participants need to complete all core modules and at least two of the electives.

Participants can complete the core courses over several semesters. Participants may also choose to complete the modules and electives in any order they wish. The modules and electives do not need to be completed in any pre-determined order.

NYU administrators may also enroll in any of the core module or elective leadership courses without committing to the complete certificate program.

  • Managing Employees at NYU (formerly The NYU Supervisor)
