Employee Meal Plan

During the academic year, New York University's Campus Dining Services offers two meal plan memberships for employees. The first plan consists of twenty (20) meals and fifty (50) dining dollars for one hundred seventy five dollars ($175.00) per semester. The second plan consists of fifty meal (50) and twenty (25) dining dollars for three hundred dollars ($300.00) per semester, that's a great value in NYC! The membership is available to all full time and part time employees with a valid NYU ID. Simply download and complete the PDF form and fax it to Owen Moore at Dining Services at (212) 995-4660. You will receive an e-mail confirmation notice that you may begin using your membership and payroll services will deduct the amount in the next pay period. For locations and hours of operation and meal plan contract terms visit the NYU Campus Dining Website at www.nyudining.com.

How does it work?

Meal plan memberships are convenient and offer a large variety of dining options. A magnetic stripe on the back of your employee ID card works with our computer system to identify you as a dining plan member. Each meal plan consists of a "meal allowance" and "Dining Dollars".

Meals Allowance

Each meal plan has a set number of "meals" that can be used in the All-You-Care-To-Eat residential dining locations: Weinstein RFoC, Palladium Café, Third North Courtyard Café, Rubin Dining Room, and Hayden Dining Room. Upon entering the dining location, you the customer will swipe your ID card and one "meal" will be deducted from your meal allowance. This allows you to enjoy an All-You-Care-To-Eat meal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner during that visit. In lieu of dining in, you can take your meal To-Go. For one meal swipe, you will be given two (2) empty containers, (one for food, one for beverage) to fill with any type of food you desire.

Meal Exchange

This feature enables you to use your Meal Allowance at Weinstein Food Court and the Kimmel Center Market Place. When using Meal Exchange, one meal will be deducted from your Meal Allowance for an entrée, side, hand fruit and fountain drink at any of the food stations located at the Weinstein Food Court, Commons Cafe at University Hall and Kimmel Center Market Place. This includes Chick-fil-A and Quiznos!

Dining Dollars

Dining Dollars are accepted at all dining locations and can be used at your discretion throughout the semester. Works like a bank debit card; each time you make a purchase the total is subtracted from the balance in your account. Each Dining Dollar is equivalent to one U.S. Dollar. Accepted at all residential dining locations, Starbucks @ the Square, Kimmel Center Market Place, Dunkin Donuts, Commons Cafe, Weinstein Food Court and Eco-Grounds coffee bar at Weinstein Food Court.

Unused dining dollars rollover from the fall semester to the spring semester only if you maintain a meal plan membership.

If you have questions contact Owen Moore, Director of Dining Services at dining.services@nyu.edu or (212) 995-3121.

Bon Appetit!
