Employment

Excellence through Environment

NYU is a place to build a career, while being part of a dynamic and stimulating intellectual community.

Cultural Community within the NYU Community

From seminars and lectures to theater productions, films, musical performances, sporting events, and gallery openings, there are many diverse opportunities to explore the cultural life of the University.

Greenwich Village and Downtown Community

Part of what makes NYU so appealing is its location. NYU's Washington Square campus is nestled among the tree-lined streets of New York's Greenwich Village - a neighborhood filled with history, energy and creativity. It's home to generations of writers, artists, musicians, and scholars - from Henry James to Jack Kerouac. It's also a place where you can find sidewalk cafes, world-class galleries, and off-Broadway theaters - all of which add to the energy and creativity of the Village. And, they're all within walking distance of the University! In addition, radiating from the Village are the exciting neighborhoods of SoHo, Tribeca, Chelsea, Little Italy, and Chinatown - most of which are within walking distance.
