In-Grade Salary Adjustments

An in-grade salary adjustment is a salary increase without a change in grade and can be requested for employees for one of the following reasons:

  • special merit
  • internal equity
  • special market considerations

Salary guidelines for in-grade salary adjustments vary depending on the reason for the request. The Compensation Office determines the amount of the in-grade salary adjustment with input from the Human Resources Representative and department head.
