Demotions

A demotion may occur if a position has been eliminated, if a department reorganizes, if an employee chooses for personal reasons to take a position in a lower grade, or for other reasons.

All demotions must be reviewed by both the Employee Relations Office and the Compensation Office prior to any discussion with the employee regarding salary.
