Taking Your Suggestions
The Faculty Benefits Committee and Administrative Council noted that the information available on the Benefits Resource Center (BRC) for the retirement plans was not as robust as the health and welfare information. This feedback has played a significant role in planning and implementing enhancements to the Retirement Tab on the BRC. Through the spring and summer a number of new features will be rolled out.

Look at What's New
Retirement planning is more than just thinking about retiring. Retirement planning is really about planning your savings and investments throughout your career. NYU wants to make it easy for you to focus on your long-term financial goals, allocate your assets accordingly, and stick to your plan.
What You Will See First
View your Vanguard account balances on the Benefits Resource Center
In order to make it easier to check your Vanguard investments, the Retirement Tab on the Benefits Resource Center display is being expanded to show:
- Your Vanguard account balances,
- Your investment elections in each Plan,
- The most current balance in each Fund, and
- The percentage you have allocated to each Fund.
Vanguard will provide live information to the Benefits Resource Center, so the balances you see each time you log on, will be current.
To view your TIAA-CREF account balances, there is a link directly to TIAA-CREF for that data.
Customized Investment Education for NYU Employees
Both Vanguard and TIAA are introducing custom websites specifically for NYU employees. Direct links to these sites will appear on the Retirement Tab of the Benefits Resource Center.
These websites will provide up-to-date fund performance, information about enrolling in the plans, calculators, guidance about selecting investments, and forms for the NYU Retirement Plans.
Once these links are active, you will be able to go directly to each of the custom websites provided by Vanguard and TIAA-CREF, rather than have to go through public web sites to find information about your NYU retirement accounts.
Vanguard's site will be available in the next few weeks, followed soon by TIAA-CREF.
Is It Time to Join the Plan?
If you are eligible and haven't enrolled yet, do it now. The NYU Retirement Plan and the NYU Supplemental Tax Deferred Annuity Plan provide one of the best ways for you to build a financially secure future. You can find the forms you need to get started under Benefits Forms found on the Benefits Tab of the HR website.
