  • Coordinates employment verification services with the Work Number for Everyone.
  • Manages HR information systems including systems administration, application security administration, and user training.
  • Maintains the HR organizational structure composed of NYU's school/units, divisions, and departments.
  • Maintains the HR Reporting environment within the University Data Warehouse and develops ad-hoc reports on request.
  • Ensures employment, job related actions, and status changes have required approvals and are processed within deadlines; consults with units on processing actions.
  • Identifies and responds to requests for information, enhanced system functionality, and business process automation.
  • Maintains records of administrative/professional, office, technical, service and casual employees.
  • Responsible for data integrity and ensures data is kept confidential and maintained in compliance with University and legal requirements.

Services

  • Assists units in identifying methods and strategies for accomplishing reorganizations, job designs and job evaluations, and compensation goals for departments and individuals.
  • Classifies new and existing non-academic positions to ensure they bear rational relationships to each other; develops salary recommendations appropriate to job levels.
  • Recommends and reviews salary requests for hiring, temporary increases and permanent adjustments; prepares job descriptions.
  • Shares a variety of data with Human Resources Representatives to guide units in creating job descriptions; unit, University and market salary data for comparative purposes.
  • Conducts and analyzes relevant market compensation data.
