Welcome to the best, nicest, and newest freshmen residence hall at NYU! University Hall (referred to by everyone at NYU as U-Hall) is home to 620 first-year students. We have 14 Resident Assistants (RA), 6 Peer Educators, 4 Faculty Fellow Professors in Residence, and 4 Explorations Communities: Taking a Bite Out of the Big Apple, Arts and Activism, Conversations of the West, and the Steinhardt New Student Seminar. U-Hall is part of the First Year Residential Experience (FYRE), which provides a variety of social, educational, and activist programs to first-year students. U-Hall is also adopting a nearby New York City Public School. Be on the lookout for how to volunteer with the school and be involved in meaningful service. If you are interested in shaping the community at U-Hall you should run for a position on the U-Hall Council or serve as a Floor Representative to the Council. The staff and Faculty Fellows are here to create and maintain a vibrant and exciting community. We are so excited U-Hall is your new home!
