Greetings & welcome to NYU and the Uptown residence hall community!  I am David Jones, the Community Development Educator (CDE) for the Uptown residence halls, which include University Court and 26th Street Residence Hall. I am excited to be the CDE and uphold the responsibility for developing effective community relationships and standards in the Uptown residence hall community. This is my second year at NYU. Prior to earning the CDE position, I received a B.S. in Communications at Eastern Connecticut State University and a Master of Education in College Student Affairs at the University of South Florida in May 2006. I am a creative and innovative student-centered professional with experience in residence life, career services, programming, advising and university teaching. My primary research interests focuses on the development, retention and engagement of African American men at predominately White institutions. In my leisure, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and listening to music. I am most frequently available between 10am-4pm, Monday through Friday. I am excited to connecting with many students and assisting them in their development and overall college experience. I look forward to a wonderful and successful year in the Uptown residence hall community.

Hey everyone, I'm Joanna Champion, and I am so excited to be the new ACDE for 26th St. and University Court. I did my undergrad here at NYU - I received a degree in Cinema Studies from Tisch School of the Arts. I'm incredibly excited about working with two amazing buildings this year, and getting to know a different part of the city. I absolutely love everything about New York and am an especially big fan of broadway shows. I have a ridiculous amount of knowledge on pop culture as well, so if that topic interests you, come stop by and I'll talk about anything from brat pack movies to celebrity arrests. The 2007-2008 year is going to be a great one, and I plan on doing everything I can to continue the tradition of 26th St. and University Court residence halls as assets to the NYU community.
