Residence Hall Operations Manager: The Manager (or RHOM) oversees all the administrative functions of the area, and supervises the front desk and operations staff. The RHOM is primarily responsible for administrative/facility operations. This includes room assignments, occupancy control and maintaining student records. Additionally, the RHOM acts as a liaison between residents and Facilities, Central/Summer Housing and the rest of the University. Residence Hall Receptionists: Residence Hall Receptionists staff the Front Desk Monday through Friday. Please click here for front desk hours of operation. These Residence Hall Receptionists are the primary source of information and communication for the area. The front desk can be reached at (646) 997-3000
Graduate Housing Assistant: The Graduate Housing Assistant (GHA) works with the RHOM and Housing offices assisting in the overall operation of the residence hall. The Gramercy Green GHA can be reached in the Manager's Office at (646) 997-3411
Operations Assistants: OAs are located throughout the building and act as a team to serve the Gramercy Green community as well. Their primary function is to provide assistance to residents. The OA staff assists the administrative office, mailroom and front desk.
Engineering and Housekeeping: The Engineering and Housekeeping staff can be accessed through the front desk via Service Request forms. The front desk staff will help residents complete the appropriate paperwork to address any facilities issues they may have in their apartment. Any problems in service (recurring problems or damages, service not completed in a timely manner, etc.) should be forwarded to the RHOM or GHA in the management office.

The Community Development Educator, who oversees all Residential Education programs and services, student issues and community relations; and the Residence Hall Operations Manager, who oversees all housing administration and services, are located right next to each other on the second floor.

Greetings! My name is Daniel Choi and I am the Community Development Educator (CDE) for the wonderful Gramercy Green Residence Hall. Born and raised in Los Angeles, I completed my undergraduate degrees at UC Irvine (UCI) with a double major in Sociology and Asian American Studies. I also completed my Masters Degree (M.Ed.) at the University of Southern California (USC) and made my way to NYU to pursue a Ph.D. Being CDE has been an integral part of my journey at NYU and NYC. My hope is to assist in building a community full of activity, learning, involvement, and fun. The staff at Gramercy Green is top-notch; we have a clear vision to create a great environment for our residents to build memories and continue to learn about themselves. We have a variety of activities in store for the residents of Gramercy Green from outdoor activities and discovering New York City and beyond. We also are committed to providing opportunities for substantive dialogue regarding issues such as Health and Wellness, Career Exploration, and Multiculturalism.
