Welcome to Carlyle Court! You can find us at the great location of 25 Union Square West, overlooking Union Square Park. Carlyle consists of three apartment buildings housing 740 primarily sophomore residents. The three apartment buildings are built around a large, tree-filled courtyard, a nice place for residents to enjoy the outdoors. Carlyle also has a large music practice/dance room supplied with a piano, a comfortable and newly renovated study lounge, and a community TV lounge for residents’ use. In addition to our excellent facilities, Carlyle has many programmatic opportunities as well. We have a live-in faculty member who does programming (Anthony Reynolds), two Explorations floors (Shakespeare and Food for Thought), a student-run hall government, and 15 Resident Assistants who will spend the year providing ways for residents to get out and enjoy NYC.
