Department of Housing Staff
Residence Hall Operations Manager: The Manager oversees all the administrative functions of the area, and supervises the front desk and operations staff. The RHOM is primarily responsible for administrative/facility operations. This includes room assignments, occupancy control and maintaining student records. Additionally, the RHOM acts as a liaison between residents and Facilities, Central/Summer Housing and the rest of the University. Residence Hall Receptionist: Residence Hall Receptionist staffs the Front Desk Monday through Friday. Pleaseclick here for front desk hours. This Receptionist is the primary source of information and communication for the area. The front desk can be reached at 443-3404.
Graduate Housing Assistant: The Graduate Housing Assistant (GHA) works with the RHOM and Housing offices assisting in the overall operation of the residence hall. The Broome Street GHA be reached in the Manager's Office at 995-3937.
Operations Assistants: OAs are located throughout the building and act as a team to serve the Broome Street community as well. Their primary function is to provide assistance to residents. The OA staff assists the administrative office, mailroom and front desk.
Engineering and Housekeeping: The Engineering and Housekeeping staff can be accessed through the front desk via Service Request forms. The front desk staff will help residents complete the appropriate paperwork to address any facilities issues they may have in their apartment. Any problems in service (recurring problems or damages, service not completed in a timely manner, etc.) should be forwarded to the RHOM or GHA in the management office.
Hall Office
Hall Office location: The Community Development Educator and the Residence Hall Operations Manager share a Hall Office suite. The hall office is located on the first floor in the back right corner past the elevators.

Hello and welcome to the Residential College at Broome! I am delighted to share with you a remarkable living-learning experience based on community service, dialogue, exploring NYC, inquiry, and much more. At Broome, we believe in commitment, involvement, growth, great memories, and fun!
A little about me: I am originally from Miami, Fl born to parents of Cuban (mother) and Venezuelan-Nicaraguan (father) descent. While the majority of my life has been spent in south Florida, I lived for a year in England, a semester in Washington, D.C., and three years in Germany. Most recently, I finished my M.A. in English Literature at Boston College where I worked as a Teaching Fellow for the First-Year Writing Seminar and worked as a Resident Director in the Office of Residential Life. I love reading the literature from various periods, but I place special emphasis on early 19th century Romantic literatures across various cultures. I also enjoy teaching, learning languages, meeting people, exploring new places, riding bike, walking aimlessly, working out, playing squash, going for long runs, hearing stories about others’ experiences, among many other things.
