Room Features

  • Traditional suite-style undergraduate residence hall with bathroom in each unit.
  • Not air-conditioned.
  • All floors coed; single sex in rooms, suites, and apartments.

  • Study lounge, TV lounge, music practice room with piano, game room, dance room, and dark room..
  • Coin or Campus Cash operated laundry in basement.

Room and suite types

  • double rooms for 2 persons.
  • triple rooms for 3 persons.
  • quad suites with 2 bedrooms and 2 persons per room.
  • quint suites with 2 persons in the smaller bedroom and 3 in the larger.

Kitchen

  • No kitchens in student rooms and suites.
  • Minimum 10 meal plan always required.
  • Common kitchen by game room on first floor.

Bath

Full bathroom with tub/shower in each suite.

Furnishings

  • Long twin beds, desk, dresser, and wastebasket for each resident.
  • Windows have blinds.
  • Carpeted floors in student rooms and suites.

Telephone

  • NYU telephone service is provided at no additional charge. This includes unlimited local calling, call waiting and caller-id. Free voice mail is provided upon request. Your telephone number is included with your room assignment, and the telephone service is available when you check in. There is one telephone jack per person sharing one telephone line in each bedroom. Residents provide their own telephones.
  • NYU long distance service information will be mailed to your home address before school begins or provided at check-in. Internet connections

Ethernet connections to NYUNet and the Internet for each resident are provided in each bedroom. Connection information will be mailed with your room assignment before you arrive, will be available at check-in, or may be accessed at www.nyu.edu/resnet. Residents provide their own computers with Ethernet cards, cables, and software.

Cable TV

NYU Cable TV service is provided, with one cable connection per bedroom, for access to national cable networks and special programming. Residents provide their own televisions and connecting cables.

Access: Monday-Friday, 9am to 8pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am- 6pm. (Holiday hours may vary).

  • Information about the residence hall, procedures, services, and activities.
  • Check in and check out.
  • Maintenance Requests.
  • Key return and problems.
  • Mail and package pick up.
  • Vacuum cleaners loans.
  • Reserve space and get keys for music practice room, dance room, and dark room.

Safety and Security

Safety and security are everyone's responsibility (link to Students section: Staff Services Offered), but this residence also has specific building security procedures:

  • All residents must present their NYU ID cards on entry.
  • All guests must be signed in and out by their resident host and leave picture ID at the guard station.

Dining Services

Two blocks from Rubin dining room. Three blocks from Weinstein dining room, food court, Kosher Eatery, Java City Café, and Late Night snack bar. May use all Dining Services meal facilities Minimum 10 meal plan always required.

Maintenance Concerns

Report maintenance concerns to the residence hall reception desk. Service Requests should be submitted at the first sign of a problem. If there is damage in your room, do not repair it yourself. Skilled repair personnel will fix it for you. Preventative maintenance and routine repairs are done without charge, though you will be billed for any damage caused by your negligence or actions.

Emergency repairs include major leaks and flooding, inoperative door locks, and any problem that endangers safety or property. In case of an emergency, contact the reception desk or any member of the residence hall staff immediately.

Shipping packages before arrival: Do not send boxes or packages for arrival at your residence hall before you check in. You may pick them up the same day a package notice is placed in your mail box. Please see pick up times posted at the front desk.
