Welcome to Brittany Hall! Brittany is a vibrant community of approximately 575 first year NYU students, 20 Resident Assistants, 6 Peer Educators, and 2 live-in professional staff. The professional staff consists of a Community Development Educator (CDE) and an Assistant Community Development Educator (ACDE), both of whom have offices on the first floor. Your Resident Assistants (RAs) and Peer Educators in Residence are amazing resources, and will be working hard to help you build strong learning communities on your floors and throughout the residence hall.

As a part of the First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) program, Brittany Hall residents will have many experiences designed to support them in the transition to college life in general, NYU, and New York City in particular. There are 4 Explorations themed communities: ACTION! Arts-Community-Transformation In One, F.A.M.E. –Featuring All Musical Endeavors, The New York Observers (Media/Journalism), and Think Global, Act Local.

Our beautiful and historic building has some fantastic amenities, including the Rhodes Room, a large lounge and performance space; the Game Room, furnished with a host of recreational activities; the Penthouse Study Lounge, equipped with comfy chairs and couches for study groups, desks for individual study, and wireless Internet; piano and dance rooms; and a darkroom for photography enthusiasts.

We hope all our student leaders will choose to be involved with the Brittany Hall Council (BHC), by either running for an executive board position, participating in general assembly meetings, or joining a committee to make great things happen at Brittany. We look forward to having you join us for a great year at Brittany!
