The online 2008-2009 Housing Re-application form can only be accessed through the "Housing Forms" log-in channel from your NYUHome account. The re-application form is available 7 days a week for the duration of the Phase I Re-Application period. On February 13, 2008 at 5:00 pm, the Phase I Re-Application period will end and this form will no longer be available.

Only those students who meet the eligibility requirements will be able to access the Re-Application Form.

The following is the step-by-step procedure for submitting your Housing Re-Application. Please note, you must have JavaScript enabled to access and use this form:

Step 1: Access Re-Application

When you log onto NYUHome you should see the "Housing Forms" channel on the main page. Click on the "Housing Forms Log-In" channel. You should then see the Housing Forms options. Click on the "2008-2009 Re-Application" link.

If you do not see the "Housing Forms" channel on NYUHome, click on "Channels" in the upper right hand corner of the page. You will see a summary of your NYUHome account. Under the "Home" banner, scroll down and check the "Housing Forms" box. Scroll to the end of the page and click on the "Save Changes" button. You will now be able to access the Housing Forms page. Return to the start of Step 1.

If you are ineligible to re-apply you will not see the "2008-2009 Re-Application" link. To review the eligibility requirements click here. If you believe that you have received this message in error, please contact the Housing Office at 383 Lafayette St., (212) 998-4600.

Step 2: Accept License

The next page that will appear is the "2008-2009 New York University Student Housing License". Please review this carefully as you will be held responsible for its terms. This license details the policies and conditions for living in University housing, including deadline dates, fees, and many other important provisions.

In order to proceed with the housing application process you must indicate that you agree to the terms of the housing license. Please be reminded that the terms of the housing license are for both fall 2008 and spring 2009 term. This is a 9 month commitment.

If you do not agree with the terms of the license click on the button "do not agree" and you will not be able to proceed to the application page. If you agree with the terms of the housing license, click on the "agree" button.

Step 3: Verify Information

The application page will display your name, demographic and school information. Please review this page carefully and make corrections if the information is inaccurate. You will need to input updated emergency contact information.

You are responsible for the completion of all phases of this process and all communication will be sent to your NYUHome email account. If you wish to have someone in addition to yourself (i.e. parent, guardian) sent email reminders of deadline dates only, enter their email address in the section "Secondary Email Notification".

If corrections need to be made after submission please contact our office for instructions, Housing Office at 383 Lafayette St., 212-998-4600. All information change requests will be verified with the Registrars Office.

Step 4: Submit Re-Application

Once you have completed the re-application you will have to click on the "Submit Application" button. If your information is complete you will see a page appear that reaffirms your agreement to pay the $1000 non-refundable/non-transferable re-application deposit by February 15, 2008. If you do not agree to pay the application deposit, your application will not be processed.

Step 5: Print Confirmation

Once you have submitted your re-application and agreed to pay the $1000 non-refundable/non-transferable application deposit, a confirmation page will appear. PRINT THIS PAGE. It provides you with your confirmation number. You will need this during the lottery card submission and room selection process. Your lottery priority group will be indicated here as well. You will also receive a confirmation to your NYU email address.

Step 6: Print Payment Coupon

To complete Phase 1 of the Lottery and Room Selection process you must submit the $1000 non-refundable/non-transferable application deposit by February 15, 2008. Payment information and instructions are available on the payment coupon, which can be downloaded here and from the re-application confirmation page. If you do not pay the $1000 non-refundable/non-transferable re-application deposit by February 15, 2008, your housing application will be cancelled. Students are responsible for the submission of this payment. No reminder notices regarding this payment will be mailed to your permanent address.
