Students with a non-renewable housing status will be eligible to apply for housing only through the waitlist. Reasons for a non-renewable status may be that a student:

• did not accept or was not offered housing when admitted to the university
• missed a payment or application deadline
• cancelled housing at some point
• is scheduled to graduate in May
• took a personal leave of absence
• participated in a non-NYU study abroad program

Waitlist applications are available on-line via NYUhome > housing forms channel > waitlist.

Assignments for waitlist applicants are made based upon availability through cancellations. Waitlist applicants are not guaranteed housing prior to the start of the fall term.

If you are not within commuting distance to the University it is strongly suggested that you investigate the services provided by the Off-Campus Housing Office.
