2008-2009 Freshman, Transfer and New Graduate Housing Application and $1000 Deposit
The 2008-2009 application process, for eligible new incoming students begins in mid-March and continues through the beginning of June.
Information regarding the housing eligibility of students is provided to the Housing Department by the undergraduate and graduate admissions offices on a rolling basis throughout March, April and May. Once this information is received by Housing, detailed instructions and information regarding the housing application will be sent to these students by postal mail and/or to the student's NYUHome email account.
The deadline for the application submission is June 2, 2008. Additionally, the $1000 application deposit is due by June 2, 2008. Please remember that this deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Once you receive the application instructions DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE. If the application is not submitted AND the payment is not received by the deadline dates, you will lose your renewable housing status and will no longer be eligible for guaranteed student housing. You will be eligible for University Housing only through the wait list.

Room Change Information
2008-2009 Academic Year Room Change Request
The academic year room change process for 2008-2009 will begin in September after the first three weeks of the Fall 2008 term.
2008-2009 Post Selection Undergraduate Room Change Request
The post selection room change process has ended.
Cancellation
Cancellations after the deadline date are accepted only for specific reasons. The cancellation form is in pdf format.
Petition for Release
If your need to cancel your housing does not meet the criteria itemized under cancellations, you may petition for special consideration. The petition information and petition form are in pdf format.
