Answer all questions, but you can devote most of your time to one of them.,

1. What is the higher order thought theory of consciousness?
2. Is there a problem for that view deriving from the fact that all conscious states must be grounded in unconscious states?
3. Is there a mystery of why a thought about a rock does not make the rock conscious but a thought about one’s own mental state does?
4. Is there a mystery about why higher order thoughts that are unconscious (i.e. not the object of further thoughts) can easily be made conscious?
