Clara Latham is a composer in her second year of Doctoral studies at NYU. Her music is influenced by her interest in the intersection of technology, popular culture, and philosophy. She earned a bachelor's degree in composition from Oberlin Conservatory where she also studied film and studio art. In 2003, her short film "Babes in Toyland" was selected to compete at the Torino Film Festival.  As a performer she toured the US with the experimental ensemble The Gongs, whose album was released commercially on American Patchwork in 2002. Her compositions have been performed by the Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble, the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), and the Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin (KNM). Her most recent compositions are 'double felix', for ICE, and  'Radio Radio', for bassist Arunulf Ballhorn and tubist Robin Hayward of KNM.
