APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR FALL 2009 ADMISSION
Recommended: December 18, 2008
Final: January 4, 2009

We have recently made electronic submissions of scores and recordings possible. This submission method is not required, though it is preferred. Please consider these options for your 2009 application:

For the submission of recorded materials:

1) Send your recordings (as MP3, AIFF, or WAV files) to fas.music@nyu.edu. Include your name, date of birth, Embark ID* and the phrase "C/T Submission Materials" in the subject heading. You may send all attachments in one e-mail, or you may send them individually, even on different dates.

If you send the recordings electronically, you will receive confirmation of receipt back by e-mail.

OR:

2) Send your recordings on CD to GSAS Graduate Enrollment Services by the deadline date.

For the submission of music scores:

1) Upload your scores as part of your online application materials, using the pages labeled, "Writing Sample 1 2 or 3" or "Additional Information 1 2 or 3."

OR:

2) If you prefer, or if you encounter a file size limitation impediment on the GES form, send your score(s) in PDF format only, to fas.music@nyu.edu. Include your name, date of birth, Embark ID* and the phrase
"C/T Submission Materials" in the subject heading.

OR:

3) If you cannot scan your score, if it is too large for this to be practical, or if you simply prefer: mail your scores as hard copies to GSAS Graduate Enrollment Services by the deadline date.

* You will find your Embark ID in your online application. If you go to Step 2, page 1, you will see a "Preview" button toward the top of the page. When you preview your application, your Embark ID is printed on the line above your name.
