Assistant Professor Position
in Prosody and Interfaces

The Department of Linguistics at New York University seeks an assistant professor to fill a tenure-track position in Prosodic Phonology, beginning September 1, 2008, pending administrative and budgetary approval.
Applicants should have a strong background in both theoretical linguistics and in the relevant laboratory techniques. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. We seek candidates with expertise in prosodic phonology or intonation and in their interface with syntax, semantics, morphology and/or sociolinguistics.
