Welcoming reception and on-site registration
On Thursday, October 18, on-site registration for NELS 32 will be possible during the informal welcoming reception. The reception will take place at the CUNY Graduate Center, in the Linguistics common area on the 7th floor (please follow the signs), between 5 pm and 7 pm. Refreshments (wine, softdrinks, fruits, bread and cheese) will be available free of charge.
Syntacticians and semanticists may be interested in attending the October 18 CUNY Linguistics Colloquium talk by Anastasia Giannakidou (University of Chicago). That talk will be held in room C-198, in the basement of the CUNY Graduate Center building, from 4:15 till approximately 6 pm.
After the reception, the CUNY Linguistics Program will take the Colloquium speaker out to dinner at a nearby restaurant. Everybody interested in joining the group should feel welcome to do so; please be advised, however, that the dinner will be at your own expense.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday (October 19–21), on-site registration for NELS 32 will be possible outside the lecture hall, starting at 8:30 a.m.
The on-site registration fee for NELS 32 is $55 for faculty, and $35 for students and unemployed linguists. Please note that you can save $10 by pre-registering for the conference via the on-line pre-registration form (deadline for pre-registration: October 1, 2001).
