This is a special offering for students who are working on Qualifying Papers in Semantics or are preparing to write ones in Semantics or Syntax. It will discuss finding and developing a topic, writing clearly and simply, eliciting native speaker judgments, using databases, building a CV, writing abstracts for various types of conferences, and other professional skills. All participants will present literature reviews and stages of their QP or term paper research several times on a regular schedule. Please obtain the instructors' permission if you plan to enroll or audit.
