CAM! is an interdisciplinary working group open to graduate students with a particular interest in contemporary art from the Americas. CAM! seeks to approach the spheres of art, art history, museology, curatorial practice, and criticism from multiple aspects, and to interrogate the processes that categorize art in the Americas, along with other relevant issues associated with such productions.  

Our goal is to provide an open forum for discussion and debate while utilizing the valuable resources of New York's contemporary art world. CAM!'s programs include invitations to scholars, artists, critics and curators currently working, exhibiting, or visiting New York, to join our dialogue, and make contact with students from NYU and other participating universities.

Previous projects include a guided tour for the highly publicized ARMORY Show; collaborating with the collective Spainc Attack on CONSTRUCTIVISMO 2006, which included panel talks, an exhibition, and performances from individuals in various forms of expression.
