Since 1932, the Institute of Fine Arts of NYU has earned a reputation as the nation’s premier institution for graduate level study and research in art history, archaeology, and conservation. With tuition covering less than one quarter of the cost of student education, private philanthropy plays an important role in fulfilling the Institute’s mission to prepare the next generation of art historians, museum curators, and conservators.
In addition to student support, contributions are crucial to sustaining our vibrant public programming, the Institute’s world-class library, and research efforts such as our archaeological excavations.
