Services for Students and Faculty

Course Reserves

Library course reserve materials are located in the west hallway on the second floor; materials designated 'closed reserve' are housed in the library office. If the majority of resources are held at Bobst library, a course reserve may be set up in Bobst's reserve department. See the IFA library office or the course assistant for complete reserve information and locations.

Reserve materials available online may be accessed through the IFA reserves webpage. [connect]

Student Reserve Shelves

IFA and cross-registered students may sign up for a personal reserve shelf to facilitate library research. See library office for procedures for acquiring a reserve shelf.

Requesting Offsite Materials

Due to space limitations a portion of the IFA library collections is stored at an offsite facility, designated in the Bobcat record as 'IFA offsite'.
Offsite requests for monographs, documents, and journal articles must be submitted online. [click here for procedure]

Note: Bobst library also has materials offsite which must be requested through Bobst's online request form.

Interlibrary Loan

Materials not available at IFA, Bobst, or other NYU consortium libraries may be requested through Bobst library's Interlibrary Loan Service.
All interlibrary loan requests must be submitted online and must be retrieved and returned at Bobst library
