Financial Aid
Beyond government-subsidized loans, available through the Office of Financial Aid, the Conservation Center makes every effort is made to assist students who can demonstrate financial need and a strong academic performance with the cost of their education. Although the resources of the Conservation Center are limited and the demand for aid and the availability of funding vary from year to year, grant amounts are not guaranteed, but thus far, the Center has succeeded in helping students meet their needs.

Leon Levy and Shelby White Fellowships in Conservation
Leon Levy and Shelby White Fellowships for internships in conservation
National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowships in Conservation
J. Paul Getty Trust for internships in conservation
Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Fellowships for internships in conservation
Lila Acheson Wallace Fellowships for students studying ancient Egyptian art, modern art, ancient Near Eastern, Greek and Roman art
Solow Art and Architecture Foundation Fellowships for conservation projects at Villa La Pietra.
Dedalus Foundation Fellowship in the conservation of modern material
Nielsen Bainbridge Fellowship
National Endowment for the Humanities Program of Specialized Instruction in Objects Conservation Fellowships
Shelby and Leon Levy Fellowship for summer travel abroad.
Karen and Leo Gutmann Fellowships, which support housing costs, book purchases, professional organization membership fees, copying and reproduction charges, and registration fees.
Typically tuition for Conservation Center students is awarded the first year. Additional living stipend funds may be available after the first semester, and students are encouraged to apply to the Fellowship Committee for this support. Subsequent awards (for the second, third, and fourth year of study) are based on academic performance and demonstrated financial need; students apply to the Fellowship Committee annually.
Short-Term Emergency Loans
Concerned members of the Connoisseurs Circle have made possible the establishment
of the Conservation Center Student Fund, which provides the same service for
students of the Conservation Center. Applications are made to Michele Marincola,
Conservation Center.
