Financial Aid for Continuing Students

Continuing students seeking IFA fellowship support are required to file an IFA Financial Aid Application each year. As in the first year, fellowship awards may include tuition, fees, and stipends, depending on academic merit, progress, and need. The Financial Aid Application Form for 2007-2008 will be available from the Academic Office and online by March 1, 2007.

The application for the 2007-2008 acadmic year is due in the Academic Office by April 6, 2007. The student's most recent federal tax returns, single or joint, must be submitted with the financial aid application. If the applicant is claimed as a dependent, the parent's or guardian's tax return must be submitted. To facilitate the Fellowship Committee's assessment of individual students' situations, applicants are encouraged to explain special circumstances on the form.

All continuing students seeking higher education loans, work-study grants, and other forms of government-funded support, must submit a Free Application for Foderal Student Aid (FAFSA). For this form and for information on higher education loans, work-study grants, TAP, and other forms of financial aid beyond those offered by the IFA, consult NYU's Office of Financial Aid, http://www.nyu.edu/financial.aid/.

Summer Travel Grant Applications

A limited number of summer travel grants funded by the IFA Alumni Association is available each year. Applications for 2007 summer travel are due in the Academic Office on April 6, 2007.
