The Director of the Institute of Fine Arts works closely with the Deputy Director, the Director of Graduate Studies, the Chair of the Conservation Center, and the other members of the Institute faculty to shape and manage the Institute’s academic programs, facilities, and public events. Through membership of New York University’s presidential leadership team, the Director coordinates the Institute’s plans and activities with those of the University and Graduate School of Arts and Science. The Director’s office also fosters strong collaborative relationships to New York’s museums, libraries, and other cultural institutions, and it steers the Institute’s development efforts. Graduate students, alumni, patrons, and members of the public are at all times encouraged to bring questions and suggestions to the attention of the Director.
