HURRICANE SANDY RESPONSE

The faculty and students of the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts are committed to helping in the recovery from Hurricane Sandy. Artists' studios, archives, art storage facilities, galleries and conservation firms in low-lying areas of Chelsea, Brooklyn and Long Island City have been adversely affected by the surge of contaminated brackish water from the storm, and we have been mobilizing to assist in the stabilization and recovery of works of art and archives. You will see postings in this page concerning our activities, as well as links to useful electronic resources for anyone with wet artworks or archives.
