Distinguisted Lectures and Colloquia
|
|
Throughout the year the department sponsors many events
to which distinguished scholars are invited. A colloquium is presented
by an invited guest most Thursday afternoon, with additional guest lectures
scheduled on Friday afternoons. Over the past few years the department
has hosted many special events, most recently the Representing Native
Americans Conference, which brought together distinguished Native American
and non-Native American media-makers and scholars to discuss the practice,
ethics, aesthetics, and politics of representing Native Americans. Check
out our Calendar of Events to see what is happening
this month.
