Night Bus, 1995, Video Installation
Born in 1965 in Shizuoka, Japan, Mr. Sone received a B.A. in Architecture and an M.A. from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Tokyo. Mr. Sone's first solo exhibition was held in 1993 when his installation and performance piece, "Her 19th Foot," was shown at the Contemporary Art Center in Mito, Japan. He also has had solo exhibitions at the Yokohama Galleria, Yokohama, Hosomi Gallery, Tokyo, among others. In 1996, his retrospective exhibition was held at Mitaka City Arts Foundation, Tokyo. Mr. Sone has participated in international group exhibitions in Japan and Thailand, and in European venues, including Denmark and Sweden.
