Julia Staverosky
Julia is a fifth year doctoral candidate in the Department of Pharmacology at NYU’s School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the impact of inflammatory signaling on androgen receptor function and the implications for prostate cancer progression. Julia hopes to use her PhD and receptor biochemistry skills to study and develop new approaches to treat parasitic disease. Her interest in the Forum emerges from her belief that scientists have an obligation to make their research accessible. When not in lab Julia can be found riding her bike, snowboarding and rock climbing.
