Asya is a third year PhD student in the department of philosophy. Her main interests are in metaphysics, epistemology and social/political philosophy. She is currently working on the metaphysics of "social objects" such as nations, governments and corporations; and on the rational revisability of our fundamental logical rules of inference. Before coming to philosophy, Asya studied political economy and Russian language and literature at UC Berkeley. She then went to Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, where she completed a BPhil in philosophy. In her free time, Asya enjoys figure skating and Argentine tango.
